Tucked away on Honolulu Avenue, Montrose Bowl’s location is the definition of discreet. Despite the lack of flashing lights or colorful signs to announce its 77-year presence, the spot remains a favorite of locals and film companies.

Girls with the San Marino chapter of the National Charity League eat pizza and soda at a father-daughter bowling night hosted at the Montrose Bowl in Montrose on Tuesday, January 8, 2014. The Montrose Bowl is rarely open to the public, has been open since the 1950s and hosts as many as 18 parties a week.
